Filip Rekieć works internationally as a baroque violin soloist, chamber musician, concertmaster and also as artistic director of his own projects. He has been recognised as a special phenomenon in the early music scene. The diversity of his musical personality is reflected in his historically oriented playing, with his repertoire ranging from early baroque to romanticism and including instruments such as the fiddle and the nyckelharpa.

Born in Zabrze (Poland), Filip Rekieć had his first violin and piano lessons at the age of seven and was already as a teenager a prize winner of international violin competitions. During his violin studies with Bartosz Bryła (Breslau) and Grigori Zhislin (Würzburg) he developed an interest in early music and historical performance practice, making it his focus from 2012. From then on, Filip continued his development by studying baroque violin, baroque viola and viola d'amore both with Pauline Nobes at the HfM Würzburg and with Mechthild Karkow at the HMT Leipzig and HfMDK Frankfurt. In 2020, Filip transferred to the HfK Bremen where he completed his baroque violin education („Konzertexamen“).

As a chamber and orchestra musician, Filip plays in various ensembles such as Barockorchester Capriccio (CH), La Cetra (CH), Freiburger Barockorchester (DE), Ensemble Splendor Musicae (DE), Baroque Aros (DK), Holland Baroque (NL) and Ensemble Elsewhere (CH). He regularly travels to perform at internationally renowned early music festivals, as well as to participate in numerous radio and CD recordings.

In 2014, Filip co-founded Ensemble Interrogatio with organist and harpsichordist Sofija Grgur, with whom he was awarded several awards at international early music competitions.
